Zambia - Large Bush Fire
July 3, 2006 a large fire was set by a maize thief and gusty south winds blew the fire up into a firestorm on the southern edge of the village I lived in (Kantende). There was a house in the fire’s path and, as it turns out, the occupants were home as the fire approached.
